Core Gameplay Features

Every mechanic in Brad's Kingdom is built to give you real strategic depth — from a single village to a sprawling empire.

City & Castle Building

Place walls, towers, markets, and workshops on a living grid. Each building affects your resource flow and defense rating. You can upgrade a wooden keep into a stone fortress over several turns, but it costs iron and gold.

Your capital becomes a unique stronghold that reflects your playstyle.

Resource & Trade System

Manage wood, stone, iron, food, and gold. Set up trade routes with neutral villages or rival kingdoms. Prices shift based on supply and demand — hoard too much grain and the market crashes.

Every decision on what to stockpile or sell has a direct consequence.

Diplomacy & Alliances

Send envoys, negotiate treaties, or demand tribute. The AI remembers your past actions — break a pact and your reputation drops across the map. You can also arrange royal marriages to secure long-term peace.

Your words carry weight, and betrayal comes at a cost.

Army Command & Siege

Recruit infantry, archers, cavalry, and siege engines. Terrain matters — archers on a hill get a range bonus, cavalry is slower in forests. Sieges require you to build battering rams or ladders while managing supply lines.

Battles are won by positioning and preparation, not just numbers.

From vision to victory

How to build your kingdom

1

Claim your domain

Choose a starting region from the map — each offers unique resources, terrain bonuses, and neighboring factions. Your first settlement defines your early strategy.

2

Gather & construct

Assign workers to woodlands, quarries, and farms. Use raw materials to erect walls, barracks, and marketplaces. Every building unlocks new units or trade routes.

3

Forge alliances

Send envoys to neutral lords and rival kingdoms. Negotiate trade pacts, marriage alliances, or non-aggression treaties. A well-timed alliance can turn the tide of war.

4

March to war

Recruit infantry, cavalry, and siege engines. Plan your campaign across seasonal weather and fortified passes. Victory grants new provinces and rare artifacts.

5

Expand & endure

Integrate conquered lands into your economy. Manage loyalty, rebellions, and plagues. A true king builds a legacy that outlasts any single reign.
